Mission Statement

Our Reason for Existing
This is the FOCUS of TAURANGA INTERMEDIATE until 2010. It defines what we want to achieve during the span of our current strategic plan.

TAURANGA INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL is dedicated to nurturing and equipping emerging adolescents with the abilities needed to become citizens of discernment who value integrity, work ethic, excellence and achievement and who will contribute to New Zealand and the World as confident, competent and compassionate adults.

TAURANGA INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL exists to provide an education that prepares our students to be highly ethical citizens of New Zealand and the World, who think with innovation, reason critically, communicate effectively and enjoy learning throughout life.

Our VISION and MISSIONS are driven by VALUES and BELIEFS and where Tauranga Intermediate is now in it's history and where it wants to be.

Our School Motto

Kimihia kia taea - Explore and Achieve
This can be interpreted to mean 'seek out knowledge and experiences, go beyond your comfort zone and focus on self improvement.'
