ABSENCES
All students are expected to be at school by 8.30am, ready to commence the school day at 8.45am. If students are genuinely ill, obviously the best place for them is to rest at home so they can make a quick recovery. Due to COVID 19 please err on the side of caution - especially with coughs and cold / flu like symptoms.
Please ensure that you contact us if your child is going to be absent. It is important to do this the morning of the absence OR, in the case of a planned absence / appointment, in advance.
Attendance is monitored closely and parents will be contacted if there are any concerns.
To register your child's absence:
Email: attendance@tauranga-int.school.nz
Phone: 07 578 4401

Drop off
The best place to drop off and pick up students is the Fraser Cove Car Park or Grace Road.
For safety reasons, please don't drive up the driveway to drop off or pick up. This area is for staff and emergencies only.
Bikes and Scooters
Cycling and scootering are popular modes of transport for our students, to and from school. Helmets must be worn and all road rules adhered to. There is a place to lock scooters and bikes up for the day. They may only be ridden once off the TIS site.
UNIFORM
We have one uniform for the whole year, including footwear. Black roman sandals or solid black shoes can be worn all year round. Scroll to see details and where to buy in the next section.
The physical education uniform and school hats are available from the Wellness Centre at school. The PE uniform consists of the house colour t-shirt and our blue PE shorts. Neither of these items are available from other outlets.
Hair must be tied up if it is below the collar.
No jewellery is to be worn except for one gold or silver stud earring in each ear. Sleepers may be worn. Earrings with any type of coloured or diamonte-type stone are NOT PERMITTED.
